FortLocks Combination Padlock

These locks have worked great for multiple purposes over the four years I’ve had them. I’ve used them for both indoor and outdoor applications and have been very happy with their durability. One of them has been used outdoors on the front door of our shed since I first bought them, and it is still holding up extremely well. It still looks almost like new, with no noticeable rust or other signs of weather damage. For a relatively inexpensive combination lock, I’ve been impressed with how well they have held up over time.

The lock feels very solid, study, and secure, as good as you're going to get from a padlock anyway. Unlike other similar locks I've used this one has been on my shed for the last year and a half, sat exposed to dirt, pollen, thunderstorms, ice storms, freezes, heat, and humidity, and has yet to show any signs of deterioration, corrosion, jamming, or anything. I quickly went through two other (more expensive) "outdoor" padlocks, both of which were destroyed in well under a season (the first, a MasterLock, was corroded after a few months of summer; the second seized that following winter, not great luck all around!) Given those experiences, I wasn't particularly optimistic about how well this lock would actually hold up, but after a full year (with a rough winter and now very wet summer) the thing looks and feels brand new, I feel pretty good about recommending this lock.
